Starting Early

We started a night early getting the goodies ready for Santa. Like last year, we will have pizza, cookies, carrots, and milk. This year we are adding one extra thing.....a Texas Rice Crispy Treat. Think it will earn us extra presents?

Will It Be A White Christmas?

Here in Misawa, they get around 120 to 160 inches of snow each year. Thats a lot of snow! It comes, stays for a week, then it melts away for a week...then it snows again! I don't care for snow. I hear it actually snowed in Houston so I guess I would have been stick with it no matter where I was. Here are some pictures from out patio this morning. I hope it melts soon but the weather people are saying it is here for a little while.

Back Again

It has been some time since I was able to update my blog. Between feeling a bit blue, internet issues and falling and cracking my hip, I just have not been able to do much.

It looks like the base is going to be getting a new phone and internet provider in February and they "claim" they will be fixxing the issues we all are having with the internet but we will see.

As for my hip, well it hurts! The Doctor wasn't too impressed with how slow it is healing but there isn't much we can do about it. I start PT next week and then I guess they are going to look into just how/why at my age I cracked my hip. Until then, I am staying away from the icey sidewalks, which might be a problem here in Misawa.
